Pietra (6%): a strong amber lager from France. This strong chestnut-flavored lager comes from the Corsica Island in the Mediterranean sea; it's a fairly well-know specialty beer in France.

  •  Pours a nice medium-amber liquid.
  • Smells bitter.
  • Very bitter taste, reminiscent of ... raw chestnuts!
  • The aftertaste is awful: hints of vitamin C powder and cough syrup.
  • Not sure about the buzz ... I didn't drink enough to really tell.
  • Boring bottle.

Verdict: it's a bad brew for sure!
