Benelux Gaïa

Benelux Gaïa (5%): a white ale from Canada. I tried another brew at Benelux, the well-known Montreal microbrewery near McGill University: Gaïa, a wheat beer.

  • Pours a spectacular troubled yellow liquid, It's really really yellow.
  • Smells like oysters! I'm not kidding.
  • The dry flavor is not bad. There is a strong wheat tone to it.
  • The aftertaste is slightly fruity: hints of lemon and peach.
  • Buzz is alright for ABV.

Verdict: if it wasn't for the fishy smell, I would have given a much better grade.

Grade:C
