Smithwick's (5%): an amber ale from Ireland. Smithwick's a red/amber ale by the famous Irish brewery Guinness.

  • Pours a nice dark red liquid.
  • No smell.
  • Taste is somewhat thin with nice hints of coffee, dark chocolate and anise.
  • Aftertaste is slight yet somewhat earthy, coffee-like.
  • Slight buzz.
  • I'm not a big fan of the bottle. Too dark.

Verdict: a good brew, I would have given an A if it wasn't for the lightness.
