Abbaye Des Rocs Brune

Abbaye Des Rocs Brune (9%): a strong dark ale from Belgium. I found this one at the local liquor store, never heard of it before.

  • Pours a troubled dark amber liquid.
  • Agreeable aroma with hints of grapes and nuts.
  • Nice complex flavor : red grapes, seltzers and caramel.
  • Aftertaste is reminiscent of dry fruits such as dates.
  • Mega yet smooth buzz.
  • Boring bottle/label, but who cares?

Verdict: this dark ale was smooth, intense and original at the same time. What more can you ask for?
